Seeing is vital, whether physically or emotionally.
“Seeing is believing.”
“I saw the light.”
Cataract recovery is weird
Yet restrictions abound
- No bending lower than waist
- No rubbing eyes
- No heavy lifting
- Wear special sunglasses outside, rain or shine
- Four different eyedrops 4x a day
Vision is distorted because only one eye is fixed so far.
HOWEVER — I AM NOT COMPAINING!!
There’s gotta be a poem here but I haven’t found it yet!
This is the last day of #NaPoWriMo, and I plan to continue creating until I come up with something good. Thanks for reading along this month. I hope you will stick around after too.
My Children–I love them
C-are (for them)
L-ove (them when)
Time passes on
It seems I forget
Next thing I know
My thoughts and memories are awakened
It’s been awhile since I’ve talked to her….
And then I remember
I can’t call her any more
She won’t read my emails
Or listen to the tales of her grandchildren
She can’t listen to my never ending aches and pains
I won’t hear the love in her voice for me and sadness in her voice because of her continual pain….
She is gone
She is dead
She no longer feels pain
I can’t hear her voice any more
I still have pain
I remember … and then
I forget… again
Another day ends
A new day begins
Miss you Mommy!
