THE STORM
The whooshing brushed my cheeks
As I stepped out of the door
I looked up and
The sky was a light charcoal color
The sound of the rushing air
Bounced off the mountains
Bending the trees to the ground
Whirling my hair about my head
As I tried to cover my ears from
The shrieking and banging
That seemed to leave a
Never ending ringing in my ears
