Cataract recovery is weird
Yet restrictions abound
- No bending lower than waist
- No rubbing eyes
- No heavy lifting
- Wear special sunglasses outside,rain or shine
- Four different eyedrops 4x a day
Vision is distorted because only one eye is fixed so far.
HOWEVER — I AM NOT COMPAINING!!
There’s gotta be a poem here but I haven’t found it yet!
This is the last day of #NaPoWriMo, and I plan to continue creating until I come up with something good. Thanks for reading along this month. I hope you will stick around after too.

Everything here is new to me today. Tarot cards and blackout or erasure poetry.
The prompt I used: “And now for today’s (optional) prompt. Following Lauren Hunter’s practice of relying on tarot cards to generate ideas for poems, we challenge you to pick a card (any card) from this online guide to the tarot, and then to write a poem inspired either by the card or by the images or ideas that are associated with it.”
So I picked a card – Death – and then searched for an explanation. I copied and pasted the text and then used MS Word to blackout words, using my twist Both images are below along with tge writeout of the poem.
Future change of life will be significant.
Loss leads forward. Embrace the end.
Things change suddenly, move perspective ahead. Continue with heart.
