Oh lord!

Oh lord won’t you send me a body that benz!
All the able bodied, are really not my friends
They secretly scoff, and call me those names
Oh lord won’t you send me a body that benz!

Oh lord won’t you send me a back that won’t hurt!
My friends don’t understand it and are really are quite curt
They say it’s a figment of my little brain
Oh lord won’t you send me a back that won’t hurt!

Dear lord, my knees hurt, they’re all swollen up!
The doctors won’t help me, unless I let them cut
They don’t understand that it really won’t help
Dear lord, my knees hurt, they’re all swollen up!

I’d never wish you ill dear, I really would not!
But you’ve got to listen, I’m unable to squat
You think you’re a doctor, you really are not
Oh lord, please send her a pain in her butt

And now I will thank you for all of the things
That help to distract me while my ears do ring
Coffee, and coffee and my CBD
Oh lord, I do thank you for these little things!

Words

So many words
Swirling
Twirling
Lasting
Longing to be written

Silence is not always golden
Things were not better in the olden
Days
Days of no civil rights
Rights not granted to BIPOC*

BIPOC* constantly belittled
Belittled and hated

When white people are silent
We are complicit.
I will NOT keep quiet.
BIPOC* must be listened to!

Quit saying things are better
If you think they are, you are not listening!
